UNDERSTANDING THE REFUGEE CRISIS - 1

Your dad just restricts you from going out with friends for once and what lingers on your petty brains? That you are not independent to take your own decisions and seek for freedom you desire, to act according to your conscience, right? If we people, who are well settled enough, have meals to eat three times a day feel horrible for the luxuries not available, what do you think is the vulnerable status of the refugees? Who are refugees? They are the people who are forced to flee their home countries, where they are born and brought up, in the course of searching for a livelihood in the host countries.

When I started reading newspaper about the European refugee crisis recently, I, by default started condemning the refugees for they running away from the issues in their mother lands and ending up at the places unfamiliar to them, seeking for the help from the unknown. But eventually, I understood how great the problem of refugees is and decided to share my views on this particular crisis.

So, what is the reason for the refugee crisis in different countries? There is only one possible reason I could find in my research all day which accounts for this catastrophic influx of refugees. It is the political instability in those countries meaning the political instability may have been experienced in the past persistently over time or in the present, by a country. Coming to this point, is there any country which is politically, completely stable? A politically stable country denotes a rule without opposition which is accepted by every of the citizen of that particular country wholeheartedly. Is not such a concept myth? So this leaves us with the analysis that no country in the world is politically stable. I do not say that there are only few countries around the world enduring the refugee problem. India, for instance, has its own refugee problems.

Then, why is the European refugee crisis so flashy in the news? It is because, the number of asylum seekers in Europe has increased extravagantly making it the largest flee since the world war 2. Syria, Iraq, Afganistan, Eritrea and Kosovo are the major countries from where the people are running away. What is worse in these countries that the people are so eager to risk their lives in transit? Why are they being Europe-centric and Why is Europe attracting most of the refugees? Is not there any solution to this stupendous problem? Is funding huge sums and providing them with shelter and facilities, the only solution as the tv channels project? This is the problem since ages and the intellectuals found no solution yet. The solution sprouts out only when those intellectuals are empathetic and understand the decades of  their distress, pain, agony and deterioration.
