ON THE LINES OF POWER AND POLITICS-VYAPAM

Vyapam! We tend to hear this in plethora these days. Every news channel and newspaper reports are drenched with these reports since a week. This cannot be said unheard in the past and recent past. But why on screen so much now? What is gist of the scam and the story behind it? Why is it cited, a biggest game of politics? What are the roots of the scam? Is this a scam with bloodshed?

A scam is usually not a mishap but a long term pre-planned fraud. Vyapam, Vyavasayik Pariksha Mandal, formed in 1970 as an autonomous body to conduct entrance to the pre medical tests, later on has become a huge body shouldering the responsibility of all the entrance exams for the government posts . It was in 1990's, there started allegations against the Vyapam that there were illegal appointments manipulating the exam. But somehow the allegations were suppressed from advancing into glare. Prior to 2013, there were more than 50 cases filed against Vyapam on the grounds of selecting the candidates who are familiar or according to their favouritism. 

But in 2013, the imprisonment of 20 impersonators was a sudden blow. Since then, there were many nabbed into the custody. And the melancholy is, the system is rooted with the politicians of higher office. SIT and CBI are pretending of investigating the fraud. The entire political system is at fault. In today's India, the media cannot go against the government. The opposition whether speaks true or no, it is not for the public welfare but to appease people and commit the same frauds carefully again. So how can a common man know what is exactly happening behind the screen? Actually, everyone knows what is going on. but who can stop it? They think, there cannot run a country without corruption and fraud.

Imagine a person dies at the hospital due to the lack of proper medication. The fault is with the doctors who are merely any doctors, appointed at the hospitals. With no qualification and study, if a person is eligible to be a doctor or police or work for any government office, it is a loss for common people after all. But for the politicians, it is beneficial to have their men recruited in every lower and higher positions to ease flow their deeds.

In addition to fraud, we notice the deaths of people involved with Vyapam scam. This remains a mystery. They die of heart attacks, road mishaps, suicides etc. More than 40 people including beneficiaries, perpetrators, investigators, witnesses, even journalist are dead 

at regular intervals. A sudden death of a journalist while investigating about the mysterial death of a woman accused in Vyapam, enraged the media prompting them to shower the newspapers with their reports on the scam. This incident also hinted us a connection of all the deaths to Vyapam. Of course, we are aware that, over 40 murders just to conceal the scam beneficiaries would definitely have a bigger hand and a bigger share. But who are they and what is that they are gaining remains to be the topical and toxic question.

After all this,  happening in an open environment, noticed by everyone, CBI could not find out where lies the mystery. It happened in the past, many a time. When it is a scam involving the higher politicians of the ruling party, never any conclusion is obtained but left free or now a days, aberration of the issue is the best solution reached.  The former education minister is incriminated of this scam. Governor and Chief Minister too are involved with Vyapam, they say. If it involves a CM of the state, the state collapses, the party loses its fame in the state and slowly it spreads to the country giving rise to the break down of the party in next elections. The loss of trust would sweep the party to its minimum. So, in order to avoid that, there is a silence among the national politicians over this conspiracy and they disguise CBI to go accordingly. Perhaps, we see politics everywhere.

"I would not eat and would not let others eat" was Modi's promise to the people against corruption. But Saradha scam was the first one involving a state CM, which was left behind without the trace of the accused and now emerges another  in queue. This sum adds up with POWER and POLITICS............... Never will get to know the truth behind a scam, hints us but by the time we come to a conclusion, the scam is adjourned!
