MINISTRY OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS

There is always a very close relation among the defence, home and external affairs ministries. But what makes these three ministries work exclusively closer to one another? What is the prominence of the ministry of external affairs? How does it have an impact on the home and defence ministries? How are the eligible candidates selected? What is the major function of this ministry? The three ministries make the Indian economy safer, in what way? are few questions to be answered about the external ministry and here I go with it.

The external affairs ministry was incorporated during the British times by the East India company in order to deal with the Europeans and the other foreigners then and the ritual continued after the independence of India too. The major function of the external affairs ministry to represent our country in the foreign arena and protecting its relations with the foreign countries. 

The ministry works on the foundation of the chunk of civil servants as a whole working under the foreign or external affairs minister. A person aspiring to be working as a foreign ambassador has got to clear the civil services examination and undergo a multi faceted and comprehensive training programme intended to give them a thorough grounding in the diplomatic knowledge, diplomatic qualities and skills at Lal Bahadur Shastri national academy of administration. The candidate should compulsorily know a foreign language properly. 

If he develops proficiency in the training, the foreign service officer will begin his career abroad as a third secretary and is promoted to secondary secretary as soon as he is confirmed in service. Subsequent promotions are to the levels of first secretary, Counselor, minister and ambassador or high commissioner. In this way, the foreign ambassadors are very carefully selected as they project India on the globe.

The department of Foreign affairs looks into the intricacies of the particular country which is headed by the foreign secretory who is assisted by the secretaries, special secretaries and additional secretaries. The research in the field of the foreign countries intricacies lets the home and defence ministry depend on the external affairs ministry in order to pave their way accordingly. This Indian economy gains from the coordination of the three main ministries. The Indian Foreign service officers are directly recruited under the ministry who are the most intelligent and creative chunk of people working with this ministry.

Research and Analysis wing works directly under the prime minister's office. It has nothing to do with the three main ministries.

PSEPHOLOGY

INTRODUCTION: Psephology is simply the study of elections or survey for the prediction of election results. It basically depicts the election campaigns, election processes, the participants and employs statistical analysis to evaluate, analyse and interpret the predicted results on the basis of studying the people's behaviour.
