An ember in the ashes

An Ember in the Ashes Sabaa Tahir YA Fantasy "Life is made of so many moments that mean nothing. Then one day, a single moment comes along to define every second that comes after." "You are an ember in the ashes. You will spark and burn, ravage and destroy. You cannot change it. You cannot stop it." "All the beauty in stars means nothing when life here on earth is so ugly." "There are two kinds of guilt: the kind that drowns you until you're useless, and the kind that fires your soul to purpose. Let your guilt be your fuel. Let it remind you of who you want to be. Draw a line in your mind. Never cross it. You have a soul. It's damaged, but it's there. Don't let anyone take it from you." "Fear can be good. It can keep you alive. But don't let it control you. Don't let it sow doubts within you. When fear takes over, use the only thing more powerful, more indestructible, to fight it. Your heart." Characters

Vampire Academy

Vampire Academy Richelle Mead Genre-YA Fiction, Urban fantasy, Dark Fantasy, Paranormal Romance One of the intriguing subjects in today's fantasy books is vampires. Having been a vampire society fanatic, I loved various movies and books about their life. Vampire academy is one that projects vampires as moroi, strigoi and dhampirs, a fascinating distinction among them takes us forward in the story. Lissa dragomir and rose Hathaway are the main characters, best friends- Lissa, the moroi queen princess and rose, her guardian. The deep and unending attacks on Lissa entwined with the scent of forbidden love entralls us. Though the beginning of the book was hard to understand and was purely subjective and boring, it gets lot better as it proceeds. The ending was not as thrilling as expected. But definitely it's a quick read. It keeps you hooked on until the end. It brings back the memories of your teen and college life. For that reason, I would like to move forward to the next boo

The girl in room 105, An unlove story

The girl in room 105, An unlove story Genre- Fiction/Romance/Thriller Keshav loved Zara. Couldn't stand up for her. So they depart in their own ways. 7 years after the break up, Zara is happy with her love of the life Raghu, while Keshav wants to win back Zara. It's Zara's birthday and Keshav tries to keep away from her. In turn, he receives a text from her to meet her at room 105 in her IIT Delhi hostel like the old times. That's where the actual story begins. Zara is murdered. By who? Who wanted to kill Zara? Keshav is now on a mission to find out the mystery behind this to seek closure and to unlove Zara. The story keeps you intact, though you can easily predict the story towards the end. Zara's character has been portrayed beautifully as a flamboyant, independent muslim college student fighting for the civilian rights in kashmir. Basically, a Hindu Muslim love story which breaks apart due to the societal stigma. Kashmir politics, the inter religious aspects

Norwegian Wood

It is a sweet bitter feeling to finish reading a book. And when the ending is left to our own imagination, the story and emotions linger behind us. It is been a day I finished reading this book, yet I cannot start with another book. The characters Naoko, Midori and Toru have been portrayed very well. Each character has it's own way of teaching you something. Reiko's character lifts your spirits up and give you that go, her being my favourite. It is too dark and deep a book to really understand the inner meaning of every word. Overall I loved reading Haruki Murakami for the first time.  "Despite your best efforts, people are going to be hurt when it's time for them to be hurt. Life is like that." "Death exists, not as the opposite but as a part of life." "No truth can cure the sadness we feel from losing a loved one. No truth, no sincerity, no strength, no kindness, can cure that sorrow. All we can do is see that sadness through to the end a
